A-NATOMY

General

While B-NOMALIES can be incredibly strange, they do still have some constants.
B-NOMALIES always have two or more mouths. In the case of Triple Maw B-NOMALIES, a mouth split into three jaw segments does count as three "mouths".

Nervous System

B-NOMALIES have a thick skin layer. (pictured here as pale grey)
Its durability and thickness is meant to protect the greymatter.

The Greymatter (pictured here as medium grey)
This is effectively a B-NOMALY's brain and vitals combined. This thick slime is what makes B-NOMALIES function, live, and breathe. As its name would suggest, it is often grey or desaturated in color, but it is not uncommon for a B-NOMALY, especially one with many mutations, to have a vibrantly-colored greymatter. It is worth noting that the shell of a B-NOMALY's egg is always the color of the hatchling's greymatter.

Digestive and Respiratory Systems

The digestive system (pictured in purple here)
B-NOMALIES need to eat! Typically, the bottom is the one that takes care of taking in food.

The respiratory system (pictured in red here)
B-NOMALIES also need to breathe! The topmost mouth is typically the one connected to the respiratory system, as well as the nose. Please note that a B-NOMALY's nostrils will never be covered by its beak! They are always able to breathe easily, even if the nostrils wind up further back than usual as a result.

Hen's Teeth B-NOMALIES often have both a trachea and esophagus attached to their topmost mouth. Double Bird/Double Bun B-NOMALIES have a trachea and esophagus on both mouths. Triple Maw B-NOMALIES are a mess.

The skeleton
B-NOMALIES do have a skeletal system, though the more mutations they have, the more strange it can become. This does not always wind up matching the mutations.

The reproductive system
Almost all B-NOMALIES have both an ovipositor and a womb. B-NOMALIES do not typically have differing physical sexes, though many B-NOMALIES have individual gender identities. B-NOMALIES lay eggs - typically a clutch of 2-5 - which are then incubated until the hatchlings are ready to come out into the world. Due to their heavily technologically-based society, most B-NOMALIES rely on artificial fertility enhancing machines, safety devices, and mechanical incubators to ensure the safest possible entry into the world for their kids. These are not necessary for B-NOMALIES to reproduce, but it makes things a lot safer and more predictable.

A-CLASS B-NOMALIES (A-NOMALIES) often have a lot of things that separate them from the norm, but some of the most apparent are:

  • Brightly colored greymatter is very common in A-NOMALIES!
  • A-NOMALIES are somewhat larger than their B-CLASS relatives, and are often larger still with more mutations.
  • Organs are often in strange places, nonexistent, illogical, or even cartoonish.
  • Warped skeletal system, sometimes not matching up with what the B-NOM should look like, sometimes nonexistent, sometimes reduced to strange, dense threads that shouldn't logically hold anything in place.
  • Functional immortality is not uncommon.

Always expect the unexpected with A-NOMALIES!

HEIGHT

new height chart coming soon

An average B-CLASS B-NOMALY is slightly larger than a rabbit should be!

An average A-NOMALY or Mutant is roughly the size of a wolverine. Please note that due to their very nature of being heavily mutated, A-NOMALIES have a high rate of fluctuation in size, especially with the following mutations:

Fogholder: Anarchic forms of Fogholders are commonly much larger than their regular counterparts. This can vary heavily between Fogholders, and even vary based on distance from radiation.

Dragon Body Type: Dragon Body Type B-NOMALIES are technically "long" rather than "tall", but many have long legs that boost their height as well. Whatever their measurements, Dragon Body Types are noticeably larger than other B-NOMALIES.

Giant: Your average Giant clocks in at between 4 and 6 feet tall. They may be rideable, with their consent.

Always Anthro: Always Anthro B-NOMALIES are generally of average human height, if not larger.

Height differences caused by mutations can "stack". A Giant, Always Anthro B-NOMALY will typically be much taller than the average person. A Dragon Body Type Fogholder may have an enormous Anarchic form. Stacking all of the aforementioned mutations - an Always Anthro, Giant, Dragon Body Type B-NOMALY who is a Fogholder would likely be incapable of standing inside average rooms without hitting their head on the ceiling, and their Anarchic form could very well be as tall as a house.
