I'm Here For You Hub

UNDERSTAND.

back

"There have been so many like you," Death Herself's voice is mournful. "The worlds are opening themselves to us, in spaces between spaces, in dark corners, in voids that should not lead here. It has trapped lost souls before they can get out, and they forget themselves, just like you."

You ask what you're supposed to do - surely there's a reason you're even speaking to her, she must be so busy.

"I've been attempting to get the Lost that I can find out," Death Herself explains, "It typically requires that they have time. You have been here for hours past the initial fifteen minutes a mortal can last."

Noticing the fear on your face, she continues. "You have a doctor, however."

"Just because I work in a morgue doesn't mean I appreciate this, Rabbit."

"Please. Everyone in town keeps dying, and... I don't know. You know first aid."

"I have a request, however," She's speaking faster, now. "I request it of all my Mortals, and it may make you my Patron, much like Aihuu."

You thought you'd lost them...

"If you choose to go back, please warn as many as you can about this. Please pull them back from the void if you can stop them. Mortals like you rarely have the time to go back if they wander in, but you will have the time to head back if you fall in again in search of another. You will be safe, but... changed."

You stop her, realizing something is rumbling behind her. You don't have much time. If you choose to go back? The ground shakes, a hand rises from the writhing pit before you. The creature that comes out is massive, its un-face boiling, a mass of teeth and devouring and hatred. Do you even have time to run? The thing turns to Death silently, the world shimmering and turning in on itself around it, and you hear screams inside it.

This was once the thing you saw devouring the dead.

"We need help here as well," Death says, a sad smile in her voice.

"Stand back! I said back, Rabbit! Clear!"

As you try to come up with a response, there's a jolt to your system from far away. You feel... whole. You Remember.

You have a choice to make, and fifteen minutes to make it in.

Prompt: Make your choice.

You can get creative in how you portray this, however, your choice itself has Karma attached to it! (eg: if your Rixixi is portrayed speaking to Death, feel free to mention which choice is being made!):

Rewards During Karma Season:

50 Positive Karma if you return to your life.

50 Negative Karma if you choose to stay in the Leyline as a ghost.

Rewards At All Times:

500 EXP on completion

An Enchanted Veil if you return to your life.

An Eternal Life Gem if you choose to stay in the Leyline as a ghost.

These choices do not affect your Rixixi's status as a Ghost or non-Ghost, but you can use the Eternal Life Gem to make your choice permanent.

Illustrations should be fully colored and fullbody (60% of Rixixi minimum) with at least a somewhat detailed background. Literature should be 800+ words.

While staying as a ghost grants negative karma, it is intended as a neutral choice. Everything that pointed you closer to being a ghost up until now was listed as negative karma, but these were also typically choices that left you alone.]
