"We should be able to talk to her here, since Eyja's got the field up in the other room," Rose runs her hand along a mirror in a dressing room, grimacing at the dark reflected image.
"Aren't we here to keep everything else out?" Caroline chimed in, the host crumpling her wings against the far corner of the room. "How's the lizard supposed to get in?"
Daer'on just gave her another concerned look. Rose returned it through the mirror, knowing somewhere in her head that he couldn't see it, but the damn whispering in her ears was drowning that out. Nothing that whispered should be able to get in here, and yet she'd carried a ghost in with her. The canvases she's thrown in the sea show up behind her eyelids as she closes her eyes for relief.
"I need paint," Rose sputters out.
Set comes up next to her with a fistful of makeup. Nodding, she takes it, popping open a tube of lipstick and smearing it over the mirror. With a shrug, Set grabs a color himself and begins applying it to the mirror, adding streaks of color to the reflective canvas before them. Enirah - taking a break from nursing a Null-induced migraine - ushers a curious Tya forward to join the pair, the Arakanth stuck in an almost entirely animal form. Hopping up to the mirror with a mascara brush, Tya begins coating the bottom of the surface in black.
Finally, only tiny fragmented pieces of the original reflective surface shine through, and a shadow begins to peel its way out of the streaks of color.
