They jog to the center of the city, breath clouding in the air in front of them. Why is it cold, it shouldn't be cold in Laugk Tj'is? Mjilikae scatter about around them, pacing frantically and standing on buildings - all frightened, all lost, looking for all the world like they'd been dropped off in the middle of town like dolls.

"So, uh, I'm Set," The 'stranger' chooses a great time to introduce himself to Rose. "How do you know Caroline?"

"Uh," Rose gestures loudly, unsure how to express what Thoriane told her in her dream. "Yeah, no, you first."

"I don't think we're at the level of friendship where we talk about this actually."

"I- what? Oh," Rose steps to the side about a foot. "Let's just not talk they're right up there."

Enirah stands in the center of Laugk Tj'is with Tya, waving at the pair behind her without turning to look. Daer'on sits beside Caroline on a bench, looking almost like a concerned older sibling, while the younger Host dangles her entire upper body off the back of the bench, unamused. A man with long silver hair that Rose hasn't met yet waves in their general direction, and Set gives an exaggerated wave back - hopefully they're already familiar, or she'll have to deal with everyone already meeting Set while she's been sleeping in. Rose swears she heard the man whisper something - 'disinterest'?

"This isn't a siege," Tya is saying. "I've lived through the Siege, and this isn't that."

"One of them got into the room I'm renting," Rose explains, finally catching up to the group. "They just seemed scared. Don't know why they're all here, but it's like they were all herded here blindfolded."

"They aren't doing much, however, they are causing mayhem," Dae'ron pipes up from his place on the bench. "Mainly property damage - they seem to notice when they bump into someone. We may want to leave for now, to be safe."

"Thoriane told me that, too," Rose mutters.

Caroline sits up straight, and Daeron gives a hmm. There's a moment of awkward silence - no one else wants to utter her name.

"She also said I should talk about that later," Rose continues.

"So, uh," Tya says, blatantly trying to change the subject. "I notice you have another Arakanth with you. Ia!"

"Ia," Set chimes in. "I heard you saying you were from the Siege."

"You aren't? You look like you're my age."

"I'm half human, so-"

"Pardon," The man with silver hair steps up. "I'm afraid I have to go, and I can't keep up a null field where I'm not standing. Whatever's going on isn't magic, so all I'm really doing is lowering interest, anyways."

"You really have to go, Eyja?" Set crosses his arms.

"You know I practically run the Bluebell," Eyja smiles. "And it doesn't run without me. Come back with me before you go, steal some shit out of the fridge for the trip, get some good luck."
