Why would you help me?

Yssc doesn't answer, but I can see the glowing projection of him across from me. I scowl. The beast is napping.

The direct line of communication he's opened gives me the ability to speak to him, at least. As the demons have no physical form while occupying a host, I cannot summon him, and he should know this - yet he has given me his location, as well as T'akrin's. Why?

Yssc grins at this last prodding inquiry, and slowly stands. The beast's preferred form is smaller than mine, a short creature not fit to be called a dragon. He examines me, his projection circling my form, stepping through tomes haphazardly as if they mean nothing.

"You don't have a plan," He finally says. I open my mouth to speak, but he continues. "I think it's hilarious. You have all this power, enough to completely upend the world, but you're chasing down maybe three people and you've managed to completely destroy half a continent and fuck up half of Nskanetis while completely missing everyone you're looking for."

Everyone on this planet is accursed and deserves what's coming to them.

Yssc laughs - a high-pitched cackle that brings tears to the beast's eyes. "Fuck, you almost sound like you mean that. That's cute. Whatever, I just want to see how badly you screw this one up - because you will. You might die trying. It'll be interesting, though."

A rumble echoes through my domain, and Yssc's projection disappears. I hear the echoes of my own shouting, and wince at how pathetic it sounds.
