The others have headed out to some live show. Sounded kind of steamy, and I think they're mostly just babysitting the T'akrin host since she showed in town, so I'm staying back home. I'm not really interested in either of those things.
Been getting the hang of the history of this place. I kind of expected some suspicion to be directed at me, what with werewolves' involvement in the Siege and all, but it's been, what, a thousand years? Suppose everyone has different problems now, because I blend in just fine. I've even gotten a couple folks asking if I'm from around here. Been useful as a conversation starter so I can learn more, so I'll take it.
Something's up with the Mjilikae north of here, apparently. Ever since the current king took over, the whole species living within the monarchy went more reclusive, sticking around the castle and only coming out for supplies. Anyone who sees them in their beast forms has seen this glassy look in their eyes, like they've gotten sick, or gone feral. No one's really had the courage to investigate because, uh, mystery swamp plague? Dunno, maybe I can rouse the ridiculous superpowered folks in our party into sneaking over there and taking a closer look.
Anyways, I guess when you're a werewolf in Laugk Tj'is nowadays, people gossip to you about Mjilikae. We're kind of species cousins, so it's logical enough.
I keep finding weird sketches on my canvases that I don't remember making. I don't think I've started sleepwalking, and they usually show up when I've left for the day and then come back later. They're usually too unfinished to tell what they are, but they're... unsettling. I've thrown them in the sea with the hopes that whatever ghost is drawing them can finish them in the leylines.
I guess that's it for now. I'll go buy a few more canvases while I wait for Team Asshole to get back from the Bluebell.
