OFFERING TO THE SUN/MOON


Your young Algolope has finally gotten a hang of some of the skills it requires to become a successful hunter and racer. However they still need to prove their worth to their Deities, Soley and Magena, the gods of the sun and moon, before being granted a Breeding Seal.

SOUL HUNT


The animals are often painted, and adorned with masks and custom accessories, featuring colorful and sometimes ornate patterns, before being sent out to hunt a prey it deems a worthy opponent or a representation of itself.

PREPARATIONS


The final rite an Algolope must complete in order to gain a Breeding seal, is to find and construct its own den.

Training

STRENGTH


This early training helps the animal develop it's muscles and teaches it the basics of hunting and fighting.

SPEED


While the young animal cannot support a rider yet, it is important to teach it how to run or chase.

CONSTITUTION


Constitution training is the third stage of training, building up the animal's resistance.

DEXTERITY


The fourth stage of training, the Algolope will be tasked with it's first hunt, though the prey can be anything the animal can handle.

AGILITY


Generally the animal is trained in this skill by completing man-made obstacle courses, or practicing it's acrobatics in jumps, leaps or other tasks requiring a combination of balance and reflexes.

STAMINA


Most riders and trainers opt to take their Algolope out on mountain hikes or riding more frequently to build their stamina. For more hunting and fishing based animals, packing the Algolope with heavy loads or having it practice dragging back large prey suffices for this training.

INTELLIGENCE


Intelligence training is almost always up to the decision of the owner or rider, though some methods include having the animal scout or hunt down specific prey, locate specific items or successfully complete challenging tasks.
