This story might make the most sense if you play as a Rixixi who is mortal. If you choose to play as a Rixixi who is not mortal/who is a ghost/etc, you may have to decide for yourself why the events of the main plot are happening to them! It is 100% allowed to play as a ghost, even though the main plot is written for a mortal Ixi by default. NPCs may have unique reactions to ghosts.

You feel something like vertigo, like you just woke up from falling in a dream. Being here gives you a sense of lightheadedness, but you don't know where here is. In fact, you're not sure how you got here, either, which makes you think you may be missing a good chunk of time.
You have knowledge. You know you're not from here, you know that something about this situation is worrying you, you assume you have a grasp on language but admittedly you haven't tried to say anything out loud yet. What you don't have is memories from before the last fifteen minutes or so.
