COMPANIONS
Companion! Can be equipped to a Rixixi and grant that Rixixi its ability. Companions can be equipped, unequipped, and moved between Rixixi at will with no ill effect.
Companions are assorted critters - ranging between pets to familiars to friends - that can accompany your Rixixi on their travels!
Your Rixixi can equip up to 3 Companions maximum. Companions can be added or removed from a Rixixi with no ill effect (and placed back in your inventory if removed), so feel free to switch out Companions if you like!
Some companions can use certain items! These will be listed under an Applicable Items section if the companion in question has any.
Companion effects with the same effect won't stack, but may stack with items unless otherwise stated in the item's description! Companions that share some effects but not all can roll the effects that aren't shared perfectly fine - it's just that the shared effect won't roll twice.
If you have a voucher to redeem for one free companion from a barter or event, you can comment on the Player Inventories journal (reply to the Manual Item Deposits thread) to turn it in! ANAREIZH'S PATRON
Anareizh's Patron Companion
Doctor Noodle.A species of viper that originated in Anareizh's shrine. With a relaxed, curious temperament, they tend to make good companions, and naturally tend towards healing magic.
Companion Ability:
Anareizh's Patron: When equipped to a Rixixi, Anareizh's Patron can cure one Temporary Condition once a week! Use this ability in the Player Inventories journal under "Use An Item" to activate, and link the Ixi with this companion! Anareizh's Patrons are not limited to curing their companion Ixi, and can heal other users' Ixi with that player's permission!
This counts as curing a temporary condition with items for Medic specialty.

Barghest Companion
A mythical canine associated with death and ill omens, the Barghest is a fierce and powerful hunter. With a fearsome bark that does not rival its bite, it would take quite the impressive individual to tame this specter.Barghests can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Barghest: Adds a bonus +50 Attack and +50 Defense in Hunting. (OVERRIDES Radiation Sickness if present!)When entering Legendary Hunting with a party of 3 or Less Rixixi, a Barghest can count as an additional Rixixi for the party - Barghests have a stat pool of 150/150/100/100 for Legendary Hunting. This bonus cannot come into play if there are 4 Ixi in the party already.

Custom reskins don't have to necessarily obey canon Barghest coloration - the mythical creature being sourced is a black dog, but the existing skins include a black and tan hound and a white mythical dog (Cŵn Annwn). Feel free to reference any dog you want, or just create a sparkledog. Have fun.
A common threat in the Leyline, these canines hunt the living on sight. Hounds can often be heard distantly in the leyline when a new mortal enters, and their barks can be heard following a mortal who escapes - even when the Barghest itself no longer follows. They hunt in packs, and while they have no teeth of their own to bite with, their claws have been rumored to leave wounds that never truly heal.Leyline Barghests can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Most living that can pass through the Leyline unscathed and even some dead find themselves quietly stalked by packs of Leyline Barghest, the hounds' eyes untrusting and ever watching. While the hounds' gaze is unnerving, these beings do often find themselves aided by the hounds if they wind up in danger. The hounds have adopted them into the pack.

When entering Legendary Hunting with a party of 3 or Less Rixixi, a Barghest can count as an additional Rixixi for the party - Barghests have a stat pool of 150/150/100/100 for Legendary Hunting. This bonus cannot come into play if there are 4 Ixi in the party already.
Leyline Barghest (Extra Skill): When equipped to a living Rixixi, treats that Rixixi as a Ghost in all ways except for genetics.

COULER
Couler Companion
The primary sapient species of the Couloir, extremophiles having adapted to an extreme environment. Coulers are typically considered fauna, but are actually made up of plant matter, and perform photosynthesis and chemosynthesis (albeit when they need to move long distances, they tend to consume meat). Coulers are highly intelligent, and while they tend to be wary of strangers due to their harsh world, they help each other - how else are you going to survive and thrive?Coulers can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Couler: If the sun is depicted or described as being out in the art for the roll, This companion can add on an entire additional roll (including seasonal item returns) to its companion Rixixi whenever the Rixixi it is attached to is depicted in any loot-dropping activity! The additional roll will be rolled with base stats rather than the Rixixi's stats, as the Couler is picking up the items rather than the Rixixi.

COULOIR GIGAFAUNA AND MEGAFAUNA
Bombardier Companion
LEGENDARY Companion: A Rixixi may only have one Legendary Companion at a time.

The Bombardier is a dragon-like gigafauna from the Couloir capable of breathing fire. It does this by bursting peppers full of caustic chemicals that grow in its mouth, then blasting gases through the spray of chemicals. The chemical combination causes a fire that sprays forward - from the air, of course, because the Bombardier can and does fly.The Bombardier can be reskinnned with the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Bombardier: Makes the boost from superhot peppers (Bhut Jolokia, Magmatic Spitfire, Incendiary Witchcraft, and Wall Crawler) permanent.Legendary Companion Second Ability:
Bombardier: Fire-Breather: Increases elemental attacks' damage by 150%. Counts for null and chasm as well as regular radiation.

Crow Companion
LEGENDARY Companion: A Rixixi may only have one Legendary Companion at a time.

The Crow is a well-known gigafauna from the Couloir. Considered an ill omen, the creature's vine-like tendrils make a crisp, thin sound in the air as it glides, blotting out the light. DO NOT LISTEN TO ITS CRY.The Crow can be reskinnned with the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Crow: 15% chance of dodging any attack in combat through sheer intimidation. Passive, does not count as equipment.Legendary Companion Second Ability:
Crow: Scarecrow: In any loot-dropping activity, the crow returns a full Hunting roll vs. Plant Creature prey at base stats.

Deathtrap Companion
LEGENDARY Companion: A Rixixi may only have one Legendary Companion at a time.

The Deathtrap is a gigafauna from the Couloir. The beast escaped through a massive crack in the Leyline and Chasm, destroying its body in the process. To rebuild, it stole souls from the Leyline, taking root deep below the Necropolis to regrow and become whole again. Being half-dead, it eats not only meat but also spirits.The Deathtrap can be reskinnned with the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Much like the creatures of the Leyline, the Deathtrap lacks a face, instead having a strange, dull mockery of a sun for a head.
Companion Ability:
Deathtrap: Doubles the Rixixi companion's contributions to raids.Legendary Companion Second Ability:
Deathtrap: Suneater: Automatically and passively counters 10% of any elemental radiation damage used in combat.Can be used once per combat to counter 150% of any elemental radiation damage used that turn. Suneater is used as the Rixixi's active skill in this case. If no elemental radiation skills are used this turn, Suneater is still counted as used for that combat encounter.

Graverobber Companion
LEGENDARY Companion: A Rixixi may only have one Legendary Companion at a time.

The Graverobber is a megafauna from the Couloir. It is unknown how the creature got out of the Desolated World, but doing so cost it a great deal of energy. It lives in graveyards, now digging through the ground for old flesh with its massive head.The Graverobber can be reskinnned with the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Graverobber:50% chance of dropping a Death-Charged Fogshard in any loot-dropping activity.Legendary Companion Second Ability:
Graverobber: Soft Earth: Can be used during combat and will not take up the Rixixi's combat turn (Soft Earth can be used as an extra skill during combat).Spends one turn digging underground, shielding their Rixixi for 20% of damage due to dirt being kicked up. The next turn, they attack for [2d20+(attack*2)]!

Snowman Companion
LEGENDARY Companion: A Rixixi may only have one Legendary Companion at a time.

The Snowman is a reclusive megafauna from the Couloir. Breaching in the mountains in winter harmed it, damaging its foliage. It is sick, and it is angry, and it wants to do something about it. Its breach location granted it the nickname "snowman", and it's clear that it understands mockery.The Snowman can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Snowman: Blocks Temporary Conditions that can be considered 'exposure to the elements'. (Currently Cursed, Radiation Poisoning, and Vent Smog)Legendary Companion Second Ability:

Trophy Companion
LEGENDARY Companion: A Rixixi may only have one Legendary Companion at a time.

The Trophy is slow-moving and unlikely to be spurred into fighting in most scenarios. Unlike most Couloir gigafauna, it is typically content with photosynthesis and chemosynthesis. However, the Trophy is fiercely protective of its territory, and when branching out into new territory, it is quick to defend land that it sees as newly claimed.The Trophy can be reskinnned with the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Trophy: Adds 5 Seasonal Currency on top of the regular currency drop. This applies to every currency drop in the roll - main roll is affected, as are bonuses such as tail bags and pack cats.Legendary Companion Second Ability:
Trophy: Covered By Roses: Can be used during combat to restore 25% of total HP. Has a 3-turn cooldown.

Warren Companion

The Warren is a prey animal and has a mind filled with terror. Its leaves small animals reaching and searching for danger at all times, the tree-like amalgamation can see in all directions at once. Despite being a towering tree - standing out in a forest due not only to its strange leaves but to its size - it can move incredibly fast, and is capable of trampling smaller beings, whether intentionally or not.The Warren can be reskinnned with the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Warren: Tramples opponents in combat, ignoring armor.Legendary Companion Second Ability:
Warren: There's A Fog Along The Horizon: 65% chance to dodge the enemy's next 3 moves, increased critical chance by 2 during duration of the move due to stealth. Cannot be used when already active. 40% chance to fail if used in succession. Must be activated to use, taking up a combat turn.

Warreneater Companion
LEGENDARY Companion: A Rixixi may only have one Legendary Companion at a time.

This gigafauna from the Couloir is an ambush predator, and an effective one. The Warreneater was named on Sxriix for its ability to completely take over and destroy a system of burrows, nestling in and waiting for movement above. Despite its massive size, this beast can wait days without moving as long as its facial or tail leaves are exposed to sunlight or certain chemicals - it has both the ability of photosynthesis and chemosynthesis.The Warreneater can be reskinnned with the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Warreneater: Doubles hunting rolls.Legendary Companion Second Ability:
Warreneater: Run Rabbit Run: If the Rixixi Companion fails a legendary hunt, the hunt will reroll as a Misc. Land Animal hunting at base stats.

FALLEN LEAFTAIL GECKO
Fallen Leaftail Gecko Companion

A spirit that commonly appears during the Fall months, these little lizards glide around using their huge, flat tails. They're usually happy, fun-loving creatures, and are willing to play with new friends they come across.The Fallen Leaftail Gecko can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Fallen Leaftail Gecko: The gecko glides overhead to seek a treasure out. 50% chance to roll any one specified common or uncommon item in exploring or mining. Item will be rolled at base stats. Specified item must be one of the already-available items for the roll. If no item is listed or the listed item is incompatable with the roll, this part of Leaftail Gecko's skill will not be rolled.Also acts as a version of the Pumpkin Spice Apple Cider boon that can be activated on any loot-dropping roll the attached Rixixi is in: Fallen Leaftail Gecko doubles all seasonal returns! In Karma Events, +5 Positive or Negative Karma will be added to the Rixixi with this companion upon activation of this skill (please list whether you want positive or negative karma!) FOGBEE
Summertime Fogbee Companion

Fogbees - short for Fogholder Bees - are bees altered by the Chasm or other high sources of Anarchic Radiation. They're fairly harmless, but have a habit of getting lost. This one is a spirit that especially appears during the summer months.The Summertime Fogbee can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Summertime Fogbee: If Chasmjumping with a Rixixi with this companion equipped, the Rixixi will receive one jar of Honey on any one-day-cooldown results such as Nothing or YOU ARE NOT READY Event Horizons.Also acts as a version of the Blue Raspberry Lemonade boon that can be activated on an Exploring, Hunting, or Mining roll the attached Rixixi is in: Your Fogbee will roll an extra item! (Item will be rolled from the pool of already-available items that your roll was drawn for - that is, the canon world for Explorations and the prey type for Hunting) Blue Raspberry Lemonade cannot be used on this Rixixi as it would have the same effect.

Kaurphyt Raven Companion
Full of personality, highly intelligent, yet often temperamental, Kaurphyts are often familiars for wizards and the like in Nskanetis due to their innate magical abilities. If they grow to like you, they can be a loyal and often protective companion.The Kaurphyt Raven can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Kaurphyt Raven: This companion adds a bonus +50 to Special to its companion Rixixi in Explorations and Combat (OVERRIDES Radiation Sickness if present!), and protects Rixixi companion by increasing success chance in Danger Chasmjumping Rolls by 15%.

Taller and longer than the average Kaurphyt Raven, Leyline Kaurphyts are shaped more like wading birds than ravens. They have a passive demeanor, standing by and watching the events of the leyline. They do retain the magic of their Nskanetian counterparts, and while they can defend themselves in emergencies, they most often use their magic for healing and glamours.The Kaurphyt Raven can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:

Custom reskins don't have to necessarily obey canon Leyline Kaurphyt coloration, but if you'd like yours to, Leyline Kaurphyts have the same bright streaks and blocks of color as their Nskanetian cousins, but along with often having a dark base coat of feathers, they also can appear in colors similar to various earth waterbirds. Bioluminescent markings are not uncommon. Their masks can be any color.
KELLAS CAT
Kellas Cat Companion
Originally thought to be a myth, folklore, or fairy tale, it was eventually discovered that these cats were real animals on earth, a hybrid between Scottish Wildcats and domestic felines.The Kellas Cat can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Considering that faeries do pass through the Chasm, one should take care when bringing a new cat home and note that all fairy tales may not have been debunked.
Companion Ability:
Kellas Cat: This companion adds a bonus +50 to Attack to its companion Rixixi in Hunting and Combat (OVERRIDES Radiation Sickness if present!), and may go out on adventures on its own - check in with your cat to see if it's brought anything interesting home. (Use this secondary ability in the Kellas Cat prompt to activate, and link the Rixixi with this companion. This ability can be activated once a week per Kellas Cat, and up to 3 times a week per user.)

Custom reskins don't have to necessarily obey canon Kellas Cat coloration, and it is a real animal, with the existing skins representing Kellas Cats themselves (default and Cat Sìth, with Cat Sìth also representing the mythological variant) and Scottish Wildcats (Highlands Tiger). We will not stop you from making skins themed on other cats, other animals, or, essentially, sparklecats. Have fun.

KYAINE
Kyaine Companion
LEGENDARY Companion: A Rixixi may only have one Legendary Companion at a time.
Native to Nskanetis, Kyaine are massive saurian creatures with an inherent anti-magic field around them and an abundance of teeth. They're incredibly aggressive, but some reports show that they are also incredibly intelligent - if you've gotten on one's good side, you've obtained a powerful ally.Kyaine can be reskinnned with the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Companion Ability:
Kyaine: Nullifies one chosen radiation sickness if present. This stacks with Mymber.However, any O'urtnx NPCs cannot assist this Rixixi.
Legendary Companion Second Ability:
Kyaine: Null Field: Radiation skills other than Null Radiation cannot be used by opponents or companion Rixixi.

MECHANIX
Mechanix (Companion)
Actual Exclusive: A Mechanix Companion is obtained via the creation of a Mechanix import. Cannot be obtained via events or barters that allow "any companion" to be obtained.

Holo Hacker: Whenever the Rixixi it is attached to is depicted in a loot-dropping activity, adds on an entire additional roll, rolled at base stats. Adds Streetwise to the additional roll even if the Rixixi doesn't have it - only to the additional roll if the Rixixi doesn't have it. Additionally, during Karma events only, for every contraband item found, 1 Negative Karma is added. The Holo Hacker knows what those are for.
Machine Companion - Immune to Zoonotic radiation sickness types!

Snared Mymbers - Mymbers hybridized with Sanguine Snares through some way or another - are typically more aggressive than their non-plant Mymber counterparts due to their Snare instincts. While this often makes them come across as more cynical and hard to get close to in social situations, these Mymbers are often very successful hunters and protectors, and if they find their place in a village, many often appreciate them as a guard or bouncer type.

The barbed claws on the Skydrakes' wings and tailtip can separate and combine to perform delicate maneuvers when apart or to form a sharp thrusting weapon when together. The wings typically are fully separated to glide leisurely, readjust between the positions when ascending, and clamp fully when in a dive, talons extended down to strike prey below.

Only some wild species of Rooter are capable of reaching this size. Some rooters never stop growing as they age, their shells becoming spiny and grizzled as their bodies become long and somewhat graceful when compared to the funny, pig-like saurians they once were. These creatures - originally called Racharruuroos (Dragon-rootdiggers) by Rixixi enamored by their legendary size and shape, and called Grand Old Rooters by humans familiar with hunting terminology, though the human term caught on as wordplay due to the grand size of the elderly rooters.Grand Old Rooters can be reskinnned with free options available to all members as well as using the PSD to recolor the base and make a custom reskin:Most Grand Old Rooters are protective of what they care about - for some, their families and herd. For some, their companions. For wandering loners, it may simply be their territory. Often have cute and/or bright patterning, and some are bred to have their 'baby stripes' as a permanent marking. Worth noting for any future Rooter owner that these beasts are still about hip height to half the height of a Rixixi at the shoulder when fully grown, and they have a compulsion to take their adorable little nose with its adorable little horn and root around in anything they can.
